HISTORY OF HOUSE OF PRAISE
House of Praise is an area headquarters parish in Lagos Province 4 (Apapa Family) of the RCCG.
The parish started as a house fellowship center that met in the home of the pioneer pastor (Pastor & Pastor Mrs Uzo & Atinuke Enelamah). In November 2007, Pastor Uzo & Pastor Atinuke were directed to start a new RCCG parish from the house fellowship in their home. House of Praise became a local church in fulfillment of that mandate. The first service of House of Praise as a local church held on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Lekki Beach Gate Hotel (now known as Lekki Central Hotel). The parish has continued to grow in influence and impact from the very first service.
Within one year of being set up as a local church, House of Praise acquired a sizable portion of land in Lekki Phase 1 and started a phased development of the land into a permanent place of worship with provision for future expansion. The parish moved to the property in August 2013.
House of Praise holds two services on Sundays. First service (Family Worship Experience) starts at 8am. Second service (Youth Church) starts at 10:30am. Midweek services hold by 6:30pm on Tuesdays (Digging for Treasures Service) and Thursdays (Divine Encounter Service).
The vision of House of Praise as a local church is to be a Governing Church and an Apostolic center.
The mission is to raise role models and leaders that will be change agents in society.
